About Marisa — The author of this blog
Hello, I’m Marisa ❤️

Let me introduce myself. I’m Marisa, the person writing behind this blog. When I set out to create this website, I had one clear idea: talk about pregnancy with the warmth and honesty I would have loved to find when I was trying to get pregnant.
I am a mother of three. Yes, three times I’ve walked that road — so beautiful and so full of questions at the same time. And, like almost every mother, mine wasn’t a straight path, so let me tell you with my hand on my heart:
- My first pregnancy ended in a natural birth at 42 weeks, after an induction that failed. As I always say: plans are made to be broken.
- With the second came twins, and with them an emergency caesarean. It was a hard and wonderful experience all at once.
- In that pregnancy I also went through gestational anaemia, which taught me to pay close attention to how I felt and to listen to my body.
I tell you this not to show off, but so you know who you’re reading. Because I want you to understand that every article on this blog comes from real experience, from nights full of doubts, from curiosity, from questions to the gynaecologist and a lot of reading.
What I’m NOT
I want to be completely transparent with you: I’m not a doctor or healthcare professional. I have no medical degrees and I don’t pretend to be one.
My role is different: I’m a woman who has been through pregnancies, births and postpartum, and I tell you what I learned, what I researched and what I would have wanted to be explained to me. That’s why in every article I insist on the same thing:
This content is for information only and does not replace the advice of a professional. For any doubt, symptom or decision, always consult your doctor or gynaecologist.
What you’ll find here
This blog was born to walk alongside you through the questions around pregnancy:
- The test and early symptoms: when to take it, how to read it, what those first signs mean.
- Week by week: what’s happening in your body and how your little one is growing.
- Everyday questions: from folic acid to discharge, from the scan to birth.
- Useful tools: our online pregnancy test, the week calculator and the gestogram.
And always, always, from closeness and common sense, reminding you that every pregnancy is unique and that you know your body better than anyone.
